CAD I
Course Description:
This course offers students the ability to start and expand their aptitude towards reinforcing the basic concepts of menus and CAD commands in Computer Assisted Drafting. A sequence of project designs, growing in levels of difficulty, will be created by each individual.
This course uses SketchUp 8 to introduce students to 3D modeling of everyday objects and placing them in virtual environments. We also will be using a Makerbot 2X 3D printer to expose the student to Computer Aided Manufacturing by allowing them to draw in SketchUp , convert to Makerware and print a small 3D object.

CAD II
Course Description: PREREQUISITE: CAD 1
A sequence of projects, with each one requiring the learning of new menu commands, while growing in levels of difficulty, will be created to show appropriate screen layout and functions in CAD. An emphasis will be placed on problem solving challenges and procedures. This course is a continuation of CAD 1 with greater difficulty and a finer nuance in the modeling.
